The Price And Sales Of Quartz Sand And Quartz Ore Kept Rising In November
Nov 19, 2021
Constrained by environmental protection documents, various places have successively closed down small-scale quartz sand mines, pushing up the price of quartz sand. In November 2021, the price index of quartz sand and raw quartz ore kept rising, and the price index closed at 122.9.3 points and 160.25 points respectively. Among them, the price of raw quartz ore increased by 2.44% month-on-month, a significant increase from the previous month, while the price index of quartz sand rose steadily, up slightly by 0.08% month-on-month.
In November 2021, against the background of increasing demand for sand in the downstream market, the sales volume index of quartz sand and raw quartz ore both maintained an upward trend.
The prices of quartz sand and raw quartz ore kept rising in November, reflecting that the market is currently in a seller's market, and the market demand is the main driving force for the price increase. On the one hand, since the second half of the year, downstream market demand has rapidly recovered, especially the photovoltaic glass industry has entered the fast lane, and the market demand for quartz sand and raw quartz ore has increased; on the other hand, for high-quality quartz sand products, it is mainly used In light source, photovoltaic, optical fiber, semiconductor, optics and other fields, the demand for high-purity quartz sand will further expand in the next few years. The domestic single crystal production capacity will expand rapidly from 2021 to 2022, and the annual new production capacity will reach more than 100GW/year. The increase in demand for high-purity quartz sand is about 25,000 to 28,000 tons, and it will increase to about 85,000 tons by 2022.
